Osteopathy is an established, recognised and highly regulated system of  musculoskeletal healthcare providing diagnosis and treatment that lays significant emphasis on the structural integrity of the body and the demands you place on it in daily life.

Our Osteopaths are highly specialist, skilled and experienced practitioners who thrive in the challenging environment of front line clinical care. Our Osteopaths are registered with the General Osteopathic Council, are fully insured and complete several CPD courses per year to stay at the forefront of musculoskeletal healthcare management. To register Osteopaths must complete a 4-5 year Masters degree in Osteopathy. This course covers much of the same syllabus as traditional medical doctors but with the focus on the musculoskeletal system and the treatment and rehabilitation of subsequent pain and injury in these areas.

Our Osteopaths use many of the diagnostic procedures used in conventional medical assessment and diagnosis. Our strength however lies in the unique holistic way our osteopaths assess you from a multi-factoral standpoint so we are able to tailor our treatment approach to suit your individual needs as a patient.

Our luton osteopath team take a thorough history, use a visual examination and their hands both to investigate the underlying causes of your pain and to carry out treatment using a variety of techniques.

These may include muscle and connective tissue stretching, rhythmic joint movements or high velocity thrust techniques to improve the range of motion at a joint. Taping, massage, and medical acupuncture techniques may also be used by our osteopaths.

Our osteopaths also regularly prescribe at home exercise in order to speed up and facilitate a full recovery by increasing strength, flexibility, stability and control in movement thus improving quality of life and confidence in every day tasks.

We are confident that whatever the injury at Hardiman Performance, our osteopaths can help you recover in a timely and efficient manner or alternatively provide valuable direction for your next steps. Our main goal is to facilitate your recovery and collaboratively help you achieve your goals. From office worker to athlete, treatment from our osteopaths is designed to take you from the survive mode and return you to thrive mode.
